Flames are the symbol of eternal rememberence. Although the most famous flame, that of the Olympics is ironicaly a celebration of theft, humanity over deity. Prometheus stole fire from Zues.
This was a hypothetical project. I challenged myself to come up with 158 plinth proposals, one for each year the plinth remained empty running up to and including all the public sculptures to date. In doing this I hoped to understand the thought processes behind the artists who were commissioned. The best way to enjoy this project is from the first post 1/158. So please scroll down and enjoy.
